What is a supermoon?

Supermoons occur when the moon’s orbit is closest to earth, meaning that it will appear larger than usual. Not to mention that this is the strongest one of the year! Generally speaking, emotions tend to run even higher during full supermoons than regular full moons.

As Aries is a fire sign that’s ruled by Mars, the energy of this full supermoon is passionate and intense! The full supermoon is also squaring Mars, which is in the sensitive, yet defensive sign of Cancer, indicating that tensions may be running high between various members of your family or people you live with.

On a different note, important decisions may need to be made regarding property and living circumstances. If that’s the case, the decision won’t be straightforward, as complicated emotions may be involved, whether they’re yours or someone else’s.

This full supermoon will be conjunct Chiron and square Pluto in Capricorn, which indicates the emotional nature of this supermoon, as old wounds may be brought to the surface around this time, which can trigger hidden fears and insecurities.

As this is the first full moon in Aries we are seeing since the Aries Total Solar Eclipse we had earlier this year on 8/4, important events, plans or conversations that occurred around that time may be coming up for review or reaching some kind of conclusion.
